We are proud to announce that this free assessment is now being offered to all new customers as part of our introductory offer. To give you a little more background on what this assessment entails here is a brief description of the four areas it gives us insight into.

Last year we posted about our new free assessment that was in the pipelines. Our tutors have had great fun doing the assessment with their existing learners and finding out more about what type of learners they are.


Learning Style

This part of the assessment will look at whether your child is more visually, auditory or kinaesthetically inclined. Your tutor will then adapt their tutoring strategies accordingly and empower your child with study skills that are relevant for them.

Motivation and Control

Some people are internally motivated and some are more externally motivated. Our motivation and control questionnaire will give your tutor an indication of what motivates your child best.

Memory

Many learners these days still learn by using the old parrot fashion style learning. Although they might be able to recall this information, they usually fall short when trying to apply it as they have only gained a surface understanding. Our memory test will give an indication as to whether your child is stronger with their auditory or visual memory, as well as insight into their sequential memory. Your tutor will then be able to help your child not only recall information, but apply it.

Exam Techniques

Past experience has taught us that although lessons might be going well, and your child does well in class work and projects, sometimes the wheels fall off when it comes to exams. This part of the assessment is our proactive approach to solving this problem. Your tutor will identify, from the beginning of the extra lessons, how proficient your child is in their exam techniques.
